The existing 9,000 cfm unit was jammed up in a mechanical room with virtually no room to replace the unit.  The only way to replace would be to provide a complete knockdown custom air handling unit.  There was plenty of room above the AHU to install Qpac ECM fans on top of the unit and field manufacture a plenum box with access to each fan.  You can see the transformation int he video.  Sometimes you just have to think outside the box.
